Quit Smoking Cigarettes Using Hookah

You can do it, Hookah can help!
Not only 1, but could you believe 10 of our fellow HookahTown citizens have kicked the bad habit using Hookah.
Jake from NY said, " I needed something to take the edge off...and hookah did it, every day at 6pm!!!...I didn't think I could do it, but today is my 5th month without cigarettes...Thank You to whomever invented hookah!"
Here are some simple steps and tips we have gathered from our citizens who have kicked (cigarette) butts.

    * Whether gradual or cold turkey you must be commited to quiting.
    * You can gradually decline your cigarette smoking , with the help of hookahs.
    * Try specifying a time to smoke hookah, and keep to it, routine helps.
    * For a harsher smoke, use 2 coals, or poke concentrated big holes in the tin foil, gradually begin to soften your hookah smoking by spreading out the holes and lessening the amount of coals, as your cigarette desire decreases.
    * Gradually begin using Herbal Shisha mixed with regular tobacco shisha, until you eventually use only herbal shisha, which contains 0% Tobacco, Nicotine and Tar.
The Weekender's Package allows you to mix Soex Herbal Shisha with Hookah Tobacco Shisha and save.
    * Using Njoy Quit Smoking Device - immeasurably helps with the oral fixation many smokers suffer from, and the physical act of smoking. This device provides enough nicotine without any other contents.

Have you quit smoking cigarettes using hookah? let us know how...HookahLounge@hookahtown.com

What's the use if both are gonna inject harmful particles in your body and you will still get lungs cancer. No matter you use cig or huka.

Re: Quit Smoking Cigarettes Using Hookah

Short of getting incarcerated in a no smoking allowed Turkish prison; you could, after quitting cold turkey that is, take every cig you smoke after having quit and put it out on your own skin.

I said turkey twice. Me want food.

P.S. Dont burn your face........that is all.

Re: Quit Smoking Cigarettes Using Hookah

As someone who has smoked in the past, I see both sides of this coin.  I smoked for 30 years before quitting and I quit not because of my health but because of being treated like a second class individual by employers and businesses and then shoved outside in the cold to have my nicotine fix.  I have been a non-smoker for 20 plus years now but I still want to have one now and then.  I enjoyed the taste of smoking.

I think smokers do have rights the same as those of us who dont smoke.  I think all businesses should have places outside and away from entrances to their facilities where smokers can go and smoke.  This total ban on smoking just makes it difficult for smokers and they will leave the premises and go have their cigarettes. I find it cruel actually to force smokers to leave the premises to have their cigarettes. Nicotine is highly addictive and a smoker will need a fix during their working hours.  Some smokers will get very irritable when not allowed to have their nicotine level kicked up during the day.

Smoking cigarettes is also not illegal but you would think it was the way smoking and smokers are treated.  They are people.  They are people who happen to smoke but we, non-smokers, just seem to keep making their lives hell.  I find it tragic and sad.

As far as lung cancer is concerned, it affects, most of the time those who have smoked strong, higher tar and nicotine cigarettes for 30, 40, 50 years.  Smokers who start and quit within a 20 to 25 year period from various studies I have read are in the same ranks of non-smokers with the chance of getting lung cancer.  One must note too that half of lung cancer is from smoking.  What is the other half caused from?

This is a hot button topic.  I see both sides and both sides have legitimate arguments.

And naturush, I agree, in that I highly dislike laws that tell me what I will or will not do especially when it is legal.  It is legal to smoke.

Re: Quit Smoking Cigarettes Using Hookah

I visited my mother for Christmas.
She has bee smoking for a little over 60 years or so.
She has emphysema and has lost 1 lung already its there, but it doesnt work.

Every night she coughed, and coughed, and coughed, and neither she nor I slept. And thats her life now in her old age.

I dont want to do that to myself or to my son.

So I quit.
I have not touched a cigarette in the last 32 days.
Anyone got a light, please?

Quitting smoking, I realized, is a personal choice. You just have to get to a point where you KNOW you will not smoke anymore. The trigger may be different for each and every one of us. Its a personal choice.

I hope others find their motivation soon.

OK, back to our regular programming...

Quit Smoking Tips

Ideas to Help You Quit
Want to Quit?

You promised yourself that you would finally quit smoking.

It isnt easy giving up something that is so much a part of what you do every day.

But you are not alone. Over 1 million people each year decide to quit and are successful.
Tried Quitting Before?

Maybe once, maybe more...

You started out feeling the time was right, but for whatever reason, youre smoking again. Now, youre asking whether its worth it to try quitting again. You bet it is

Quitting is hard, but dont give up

Some smokers try a number of times before they quit for good. Studies show that each time you try to quit, the more likely you will be to eventually succeed. With each try, you are better able to know what helps and what hurts. Any attempt to quit is a step in a healthier direction.
Pregnant?

Theres no better time to quit.

And for two very good reasons:

You.

Your baby.

Even if someone you know smoked during pregnancy and had a problem-free delivery, smoking puts your babys health at risk. Quitting at any time during pregnancy is still the best chance for you and your baby to get a fresh start.

It is also important to remember that infants and children exposed to second-hand smoke are more likely to develop health problems such as chronic ear infections and asthma. Helping to eliminate these health risks is another good reason to quit.
How Do I Start?

Make a Plan

You may want to:

Consult a health care professional to choose a quit smoking plan that is best for you.

Set a quit date and stick to it.

Get the support and understanding of your family, friends, and co-workers.

Get rid of all tobacco products and ashtrays.

Get Support and Encouragement

U.S. Public Health Service PHS-funded research shows the more support you have, the greater your chance for success.

Join a quit smoking program or start your own quit smoking group. Check with your health care professional, local hospitals, the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, or American Heart Association for schedules for existing groups.

Learn How to Handle the Urge to Smoke

Be aware of the things that may cause you to smoke, such as:

Other smokers.

Stress.

Depression.

Alcohol.

What Works?

Current treatments

There are no magic solutions for quitting smoking. But, if you are ready to quit, effective treatments are available that can help reduce the urge to smoke.

Studies show that almost everyone can benefit from these nicotine and non-nicotine replacement therapies.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy

Nicotine patch.

Nicotine gum.

Nicotine nasal spray.

Nicotine inhaler.

Non-Nicotine Therapy

Bupropion SR.

I have read your article about the doctors urge public smoking ban. It is really true fact. Passive smoking really harmful to others. Government should take the steps about the public smoking.

Is it possible to quit smoking through natural methods, I mean without using those nicotine patch or medications. I don’t have much faith in medications.

Re: Quit Smoking Cigarettes Using Hookah

Yes it is possible to quit smoking through natural methods, only it requires a good effort from your side and also a suitable plan to stick to, because lack of a plan is likely accountable for almost 90 of the failed attempts to quit smoking. You can get useful tips at, a site completely dedicated to help people to quit smoking.
